Pilot Information

Visiting Pilots: Be aware of intensive flight activity, including before and after the event. Be aware of various performance levels of aircraft in the air, including jets. Performing aircraft will begin arriving on Friday, June 24th, 2011.

Interesting Aircraft: If you own an interesting or unusual aircraft including Warbirds and would like to be part of our static and/or flying display you can email our Air Boss to arrange for display space. Limited ramp space is available so we will accept aircraft on a first come, first serve basis only.

Cost: ADMISSION TO THE EVENT IS FREE TO ALL FLY-IN GUESTS

NOTAMS: Please note that a NOTAM will be in effect alerting inbound traffic of intensive flight activity within 5NM of Ada Municipal Airport (KADH) during the following times: Friday (6/24) from 1700 – 1900 LCL and Saturday (6/25) from 0830 – 1600 LCL. Please consult your FSS or AFSS for all official information.

Monitor AWOS on 118.725 before entering the vicinity for any last minute changes. CTAF UNICOM on 122.80 will be giving inbound airport advisories.

Important Notice

WAIVERED AIRSPACE WILL BE IN EFFECT FROM 1700 – 1900 ON JUNE 24th AND 1130 – 1430 ON JUNE 25th. DURING WAIVERED AIRSPACE TIMES NO TRANSIENT AIRCRAFT WILL BE ALLOWED WITHIN 5NM OF KADH WITHOUT PERMISSION OF THE AIR BOSS. UNICOM ON 122.80 WILL ADVISE YOU OF THE AIR BOSS FREQUENCY. ALL TIMES ARE LOCAL.

Transient Pilots: We welcome all pilots to fly to Ada and enjoy the Air Show, Fly-in and BBQ cookoff. Gates open to the public at 0830 on June 25th. Wal Mart is providing a breakfast for performers, fly-in pilots and BBQ competitors on Saturday. Breakfast (Eggs, Bacon, Pancakes, Milk and Juice) will begin at 0730 and continue until 0900 or until the food runs out. Come early and enjoy the hangar talk. Donations will be accepted and will benefit the Ada Boys and Girls Club .

Transient fly-in parking is available (see map), follow taxi directions and look for the follow-me vehicles. Tiedowns will not be available so it is advisable to bring your own, especially if you plan to RON. For those pilots coming in on Friday and staying overnight we have arranged for a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn Express, the official Air Show Hotel (see top of page) at a reduced rate. Advise our staff via email if would like a room at this special rate and you will be accommodated on a first-come first-served basis until our block is full. Other motels are available in the area but might not have rooms if you wait too long. Transportation can be provided to the motel(s) if requested
